World’s best longboarders adapt and overcome Huntington’s test, Finals Day set I 805 Post Show Day 3

Huntington Beach’s infamous lineup pushed early World Longboard Title contenders to their very best to see who would lock in a Lexus US Open of Surfing Presented by Pacifico Finals Day spot. More upsets, intense duels, and brilliant showings provided plenty of action throughout the challenging day. Soleil Errico and Longboard Tour Season Wildcard Chloe Coleman battled to kickstart women’s Round of 16 action, but the 2024 event runner-up, Errico, showed her World Longboard Champion form. The Finals Day brackets are in and they’re stacked with all the familiar faces, along with some of the Tour’s latest editions. Rogelio Jr. Esquievel shined in his return to the water, posting a 14.60 heat total with the Philippines’ support crew in full support. With more of the same swell on offer to close out Stop No. 1 of the Longboard Tour, Finals Day could provide more moments of magic. The Eero Top 5 features the likes of Cole Robbins showcasing his experience to take down fellow Longboard Tour veteran Ben Skinner. Chloe Calmon took a commanding lead over World Longboard Title contender Alice Lemoigne. Kai Ellice-Flint’s first excellent wave of the event highlighted morning proceedings. Reigning World Longboard Champs, and US Open of Surfing victors, Rachael Tilly and Taylor Jensen the top two spots to close out Day 3. Now, Finals Day awaits to see who will join an elite list of Huntington Beach surfing history starting Tuesday, July 29, at 7:05 a.m. PT.
