Levi Slawson’s brilliant showing took him through a Round of 16 stacker to close the day out, but it was Kanoa Igarashi going off in both the Round of 32 and 16 who stood out as a headline performer once more. Dramatics unfolded in the women’s Round of 16 with Annette Gonzalez Extabarri and an interference called on Alyssa Spencer as Extabarri moves into Finals Day alongside a heavily-stacked field including 2023 US Open of Surfing victor Sawyer Lindblad and more. Eero Top 5 Moments included Ian Gouveia’s full rotation for the event’s highest single-wave of a 9.00, an unstoppable Sawyer Lindblad, Mateus Herdy’s magic, plus Kanoa Igarashi’s commanding form.
