Saquarema’s Surfers And Community Members Champion Conservation Efforts | WSL One Ocean

Making waves in Saquarema Ahead of the VIVO Rio Pro, we joined forces with WSL PURE Grantee Aprender Ecologia, Conservation International Brasil, Projeto Mar Sem Lixo, Eco Local Brasil, Shiseido Blue Project and WSL Championship Tour surfers to promote conservation in Saquarema through a UN Ocean Decade endorsed local impact project! We spent the morning with over 100 participants, collecting 50 kg of trash, planting mangrove seedlings, learning how plastic is recycled into fins by Eco Local Brasil, and more! We are grateful to have the opportunity to work with such impactful organizations in our 2-year partnership and truly appreciate the incredible progress being made in this vibrant community and ecosystem.
