Hunter And Lex Cruise Through Malibu And Surf First Point With Pro Longboarder Kassia Meador

What would a trip through California’s best surf towns be without a stop in Malibu? As the birthplace of modern surf culture, it contains a pristine stretch of beach, the famed Malibu Pier, and the most iconic wave in longboard surfing. Hunter Jones and Lex Weinstein meet up with stylish pro surfer Kassia Meador at First Point to enjoy some waist-high perfection, snag a post-surf burrito (with some tater tots), and tour the historic Adamson House at the top of the point. They also hand out the Saltiest Local Award to a fixture in the Malibu lineup, and end the day paddling out with star athlete Grace Gerenser and the surf therapy team from A Walk On Water. Malibu is the traditional homeland of the Barbareño / Ventureño Band of Mission Indians who are one of several bands of the original Chumash people of this area. Malibu is the Anglicized version of the Chumash word Humaliwu, which in the Chumash language means “the place where the surf sounds loudly.” The Chumash people have been here over 14,000 years and are still here stewarding the land alongside surfers, environmentalists, and others who care about our shared coastline. #WSL Subscribe to the WSL for more action: https://goo.gl/VllRuj Watch all the latest surfing action of the world's best surfers in the world's best waves.
