After taking the Yellow Leaders Jersey with a maiden Bells Beach victory, Gabriela Bryan held it through Margaret River before relinquishing the No. 1 spot on the Gold Coast. The iconic Lexus US Open of Surfing Presented by Pacifico is a wrap, and it was Jake Marshall and Sierra Kerr who added their names to Surf City USA folklore with Finals Day dramatics. HB deserves a bow all its own, providing swell from start to finish and a crowd to reflect the iconic legacy of US Open of Surfing history. Kerr and Marshall’s incredible comebacks against Isla Huppatz and Kanoa Igarashi will live in surfing lore. First, Kerr got an early lead on fellow Australian World Junior Champion Huppatz before dying moment fireworks witnessed Huppatz turn the heat and then Kerr fired back to secure her first-ever Challenger Series victory. Then, it was CTers colliding for the 2026 US Open of Surfing title as the two-time victor, Igarashi, pushed Marshall against the ropes before he responded with an excellent 8.00. However, one last effort from Igarashi had the beach waiting to erupt, but it was just short of the requirement and Encinitas retained the HB title. Unstoppable CT power overwhelms Challenger Series elite alongside rising stars I 805 Post Show Day 3

A brand new scale was laid down in force from familiar CT stars amid Challenger Series hopefuls at the Lexus US Open of Surfing Presented by Pacifico. The Challenger Series elite got a real taste of what the CT can be like with Griffin Colapinto, Cole Houshmand, Crosby Colapinto, and Alan Cleland Jr. all laying down ridiculous showings in the Huntington Beach Pier arena. Houshmand’s ridiculous power surfing elevated performances to a 16.60 heat total, featuring another event-best single-wave score of an 8.77. From San Clemente’s dominance, including the Hayden Rodgers airshow, to previous US Open of Surfing victors representing Southern California in the form of Levi Slawson and Kanoa Igarashi, homecourt advantage was in full effect. Plus, Joel Vaughan found another early spark on the Challengers to post a 7.83 with his aerial antics to reinforce the CT caliber.
