Big wave surfer Nic Von Rupp joins scientist Emanuel Goncalves aboard the Santa Maria Manuela, a retired fishing vessel used for environmental explorations. The ship is currently dedicated to assessing the health of the local marine environment. The goal is to use the information gathered from this expedition to establish marine protection and foster more sustainable environmental management.
