Queensland’s Ethan Ewing grew up on the idyllic, remote island just north of Australia’s Gold Coast, and at a young age showed signs of the mature, polished style for which he’s come to be known, a mix of Mick Fanning’s precision and speed, and Andy Irons’ spontaneity and swagger on-rail and above the lip. Growing up in a tightnit, coastal community on Australia’s Central Coast, Molly Picklum has become one of the most exciting young international talents to come from Australia since Stephanie Gilmore. After winning back to back Australian National Titles in 2018 and 2019, and being named the 2020 Australian Rising Star, Molly qualified for the World Championship Tour in 2022. After winning the 2022 Vans Pipe Masters Invitational, the tour rookie made her intentions cleara few weeks later, winning the Hurley Pro Sunset Beach. Finishing 5th in the world her debut year, Molly started the 2023 ‘CT making the final at the Lexus Pipe Pro, then went back-to-back at Sunset, winning the 2023 Hurley Pro, while putting down what many have called the best turn ever done by a female in competition. With her contagiously positive personality, combined with a relentless competitive drive to win, Molly Picklum is at the beginning of what’s sure to be a long, decorated career. Durban’s Finest - Jordy Smith // All The 9s Since '17

Jordy Smith was born in South Africa, the son of one of the country’s most respected board builders, Graham Smith. Growing up in the punchy beachbreaks around Durban, and traveling the surf-riddled coast of South Africa as a grom, Jordy quickly became one of the most polished, technical, well-rounded surfers for his age, eventually becoming the ISA Under-16 World Champion in 2003. After getting a wildcard into the 2006 WSL Billabong Pro J-Bay, Jordy put in a breakout performance and went on to a semifinal finish. The next year he dominated the ‘QS, joining the ‘CT in 2007 and earning the Rookie of the Year. O’Side For Life - Caitlin Simmers // Best Of

North County San Diego’s Caity Simmers burst onto the scene at 13, alongside a generation of female surfers unlike any before them, comprising of Sierra Kerr, Sky Brown, Erin Brooks, and more. All with consistent access to wave pools providing repetitive practice on air sections, Caity’s generation has quickly begun to close the performance gap between men and women above the lip. They’ve also demonstrated their generation’s comfort in heavy, hollow surf, with standout performances at Pipe and Teahupo’o over the last few years. Caity is the product of a wonderfully supportive surfing family. Traveling her first years on the ‘QS with her parents Ali and Jesse, and her little brother Timo, Caity qualified for the ‘CT in 2022, but decided to wait another year before joining in 2023 at 17 years old. If there were any doubt about the young, freckle-faced Californian’s ability to perform under international pressure, her performances the first two years on tour have silenced those critic’s concerns. Caity took home her first ‘CT win her third event, at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, then followed it up by winning at Saquarema, earning her the Rookie of the Year. Last year, she added three more major events to her trophy case. After a historic performance to win at the Lexus Pipe Pro, Caity went on to ring her first Bell at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, then defending her win at Saquarema going back to back. West Oz’s Wunderkind - Jack Robinson // All The 9s

Since Jack Robinson has been in the public eye for more than a decade and a half—touted as a prodigious youth talent as a teenager—it’s easy to forget that he is only 26 years old. Raised a cobblestone’s throw from the most high-performance wave in California, Griffin Colapinto has evolved from a Southern California supergrom to a zen warrior and Top-5 Contender. Griff qualified for the Championship Tour after winning the Men’s Qualifying Series and the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing in 2017. Since joining the Tour, he’s won Surf Ranch, El Salvador, and Portugal twice, climbing the ranks while becoming California’s favorite son, as evidenced in the local crowds at the Rip Curl Finals in Lower Trestles last year. Hawaii’s Ambassador Of Aloha - Carissa Moore // All Carissa's 9s Since 2017

Born on Oahu’s South Shore in 1992, Carissa Moore grew up like so many Hawaiian groms, learning to surf at Waikiki as waves like Baby Queens, before moving up to Kewalos Basin and Ala Moana Bowls, which have shaped countless Hawaiian champions over the last fifty years, from Gerry Lopez and Dane Kealoaha to Derek and Michael Ho. Carissa started to collect NSSA National Titles at 11 years old, eventually winning 11 amateur Titles, as well as winning ISA World Junior Championship. At 16 she won the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa, the youngest surfer to ever win a Triple Crown of Surfing event. In 2010, Carissa qualified for the World Championship Tour, won two ‘CT events, and the Rookie of the Year, finishing fifth overall. She followed her debut year up, taking out three events and winning her first World Title in 2011, beating out 4x defending champ Stephanie Gilmore, a friendly but fierce rivalry that would continue throughout their careers on tour. For several years, Moore was a part of one of surfing’s most impressive and high-paid crews ever assembled, the Nike/Hurley team comprising John John Florence, Kolohe Andino, Michel Bourez, Julian Wilson, Lakey Peterson, and others. While collecting three more Titles and 29 World Championship Tour events, over the last ten years, the 5x World Champion has been named a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, won multiple Surfer Poll Awards, Glamour’s Woman of the Year, and the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing three times. At surfing’s debut in the Olympics in 2020, Carissa became surfing’s first Gold Medalist, bringing the title back to Honolulu, the birthplace of surfing and Duke Kahanomku’s dream of surfing’s Olympic inclusion. Gabriel Medina’s Unrivaled Consistency At Teahupo'o

One of Brazil’s most promising groms in the early 00s, Gabriel Medina began his meteoric rise to the top as barely a teenager. In the final of the 2009 Quiksilver Pro King of the Groms against Caio Ibelli, Gabe dropped two tens and a perfect heat total to win the event and make a very big statement to the generation of supergroms assembled at the event, like Jack Robinson, Kanoa Igarashi, and others. While Gabe was always going to be a technical genius in small waves, his fearlessness and precision at some of the tour’s heaviest waves like Teahupoo or Pipeline is the result of relentless work to get better, stronger, and more comfortable in waves of consequence. Gabe won the Tahiti Pro in 2014 for the first time against the winningest surfer ever at Teahupo’o, Kelly Slater. The then twenty-one-year-old established himself with the performance as one of his generation’s most gifted all conditions surfers, and smoothly paved the way to his first World Title that year.
