Raised a cobblestone’s throw from the most high-performance wave in California, Griffin Colapinto has evolved from a Southern California supergrom to a zen warrior and Top-5 Contender. Griff qualified for the Championship Tour after winning the Men’s Qualifying Series and the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing in 2017. Since joining the Tour, he’s won Surf Ranch, El Salvador, and Portugal twice, climbing the ranks while becoming California’s favorite son, as evidenced in the local crowds at the Rip Curl Finals in Lower Trestles last year. Griffin’s results at Teahupo’o (25th, 9th, 9th, 9th, and 17th) don’t reflect his raw talent and potential at the Tahitian slab.
