In a testament to the power of manifestation and dedicated parenthood, Kanoa was the youngest surfer on the Championship Tour when he qualified in 2016. Surfing for his parent’s native Japan, Kanoa was the first surfer officially confirmed for the host country of the Tokyo Olympics, well before any other surfers could claim their spot.
