Starting Wednesday, September 16, slowly building 3-4’+ faces trend to 4-5’ faces through the afternoon, showing signs of a new long period SSW. Then, Thursday, September 17, that swell fills in more to deliver 4-5', occasional 6' faces that could provide a dreamy day at Lowers as the SSW blends with a S swell. The Vault: Carissa Moore's immaculate run through the 2015 Trestles Pro

In 2015, Lower Trestles was the place to be with classic summer conditions providing the magic, and Carissa Moore rose through the ranks atop the podium. Round 1 witnessed pumping swell and offshore winds to gift the world's best with a high-performance platform for the ages. A then 2x World Champion Carissa Moore was in the hunt for her third, battling with No. 1 Courtney Conlogue, and began her campaign with a 9.43. Moore's dominant run in 2015 earned her 10 excellent rides from start to finish, culminating in a Final clash with Bianca Buitendag. Despite the higher tide, Moore made easy work of the Final and earned a claimed her reign over the cobblestones. A mighty road to victory for Yago Dora at the 25' Lexus Trestles Pro

After a win in Portugal, and then from Trestles glory to a World Title in Cloudbreak, Yago Dora's run atop the podium at the Lexus Trestles Pro was one to remember. A steady build through his Round 1 and Round 3 matchups witnessed Dora pick up momentum before an explosive Quarterfinal bout with fellow World Title contender Ethan Ewing. After completing a high-performance showcase, Dora then raised the scale to new heights, posting a 17.23 heat total, to shutdown San Clemente's hometown hero Griffin Colapinto in a Semifinal masterclass. But, the job wasn't done and Dora tipped the scales to another level with a 17.90 performance over Southern California's Kanoa Igarashi to claim the cobblestones for his own. CT Rankings Update: Brooks and Houshmand's wins shakeup World Title race ahead of Lexus Trestles Pro

A momentous run to the top for Erin Brooks and Cole Houshmand earned them Fiji Pro wins that helped push them up the leaderboard and rattle the ranks with the Lexus Trestles Pro up next. Houshmand jumped up a season salvaging 10 spots to No. 17, giving him a fighting chance heading into his home break of Lower Trestles. The San Clemente competitor made a major move, alongside fellow finalist, 3x World Champ, Gabriel Medina, who now sits at No. 4 after his Perfect 10 in the Final added more history to his iconic Cloudbreak career. Now, Medina, along with defending event victor and reigning World Champion, Yago Dora, multi-Trestles event winner and two-time World Champ, Filipe Toledo, lead the Brazilian Storm toward Southern California - expect major moves with Italo Ferreira joining the hunt. For Brooks, her Pacific Leg overhaul that included a Perfect 10 in Fiji, led to her first CT wins as a full-time CTer in pumping Cloudbreak and Teahupo'o. One of the women's frontrunners in progression and charging, Brooks, now prepares to take on the high-performance haven alongside defending event victor Bettylou Sakura Johnson, 2024 World Champ Caity Simmers, 2023 World Champ Caroline Marks, and 5x World Champion Carissa Moore, who have all tasted Trestles success. With the Surf Abu Dhabi Pro removed from the 2026 CT schedule, a surfer’s best 9 of 12 results would count towards the World Title and year-end rankings. This moves Leonardo Fioravanti back to the Yellow Leaders Jersey alongside Carissa Moore leaving Fiji.
