Ronnie, Laura, and Stace break down opening day of the GWM Sydney Surf Pro presented by Bonsoy which saw wild conditions at one of Sydney’s premier breaks, North Narrabeen. Opening day featured Joshua Moniz return to winning form following a long road back from a devastating injury, New Zealand’s Olympian Billy Stairmand brought out his backhand flair in a dominant display, plus one of westside Oahu’s best, Sheldon Paishon, secured a major advancing spot in the dying minutes to keep his dreams alive. The Challenger Series’ second stop is Narrabeen, one of Sydney’s premier breaks and one of the proudest surf communities on the continent. Renowned for producing long, reeling lefts as well as notable Championship Tour competitors, the wave will test former CT surfers and up-and-coming talents alike as they battle to make the tour.
