Swell Pumps Up the Performances, Early Event Threats Rise at the EDP Ericeira Pro - Post Show Day 2

Opening day was put in the rearview with an uptick in swell at the EDP Ericeira Pro providing a showcase of high-performance surfing from rising contenders. Sally Fitzgibbons kickstarted her Portugal campaign in dominant form as women’s top seeds debuted with Alyssa Spencer joining the fight as Noah Klapp shined as the underdog in her Round of 32 bout. Men’s Round of 80 got their bouts underway with Luke Thompson tearing into excellence to elevate the scale ahead of Jackson Baker and Caua Costa continuing to push performances. Now, men’s top seeds are set to make their debut and push back against early event threats as the race for Championship Tour qualification will heat up in Ericeira.
