This Rookie Class Will Not Back Down

One of the biggest stories of the women's season is the hungry rookie class. The newcomers have already made their presence felt. Two of the rookies are currently ranked inside the cut line, with three more just a couple spots outside of it. If they continue to put up big performances in the last two events before the Mid-season Cut, we could be witnessing the start to an electric new era on tour. Julian Wilson Checks In After His Year Away From Tour | The Lineup with Dave Prodan

The explosive, dynamic former Championship Tour superstar Julian Wilson joins the podcast to check in after his year away from the tour. He dives into all the elements that went into his tough decision to retire from the CT, how his family changed his priorities, and how the pandemic played in. He talks about what he's been up to during his welcome break from competition and discusses rediscovering his love for riding longboard and alt crafts. He looks back at the genesis of his successful career in pro surfing, including growing up in a surfing family in Coolum, getting into the industry (and feeling that pressure) at a very young age, the life-altering moment of getting the final part in "Young Guns III," signing with Nike, fighting to provide for his family, and finally qualifying for the tour. He breaks down his time on tour, his strengths and weaknesses as a competitor, and the surfers who influenced him most. Coffin, Colapinto Hope To Make The Challenger Series and Join Brothers On Tour | BARBADOS SURF PRO

Brothers of CTers, Parker Coffin and Crosby Colapinto along with a stacked field of surfers looking to make the Challenger Series with a strong results at the Barbados Surf Pro. The World Surf League (WSL) North America Qualifying Series (QS) and Pro Juniors are back in Barbados for a massive conclusion to the 2021/22’ QS season. The Barbados Surf Pro QS 3,000 and Live Like Zander Junior Pro In Memory of Zander Venezia pres. by Diamonds International combine to bring the best of both events to the island’s famed reefbreak of Soup Bowl.
