Women’s world-class contenders meet their match in pumping Ballito I Corona Cero Post Show Day 3

The women’s top seeds made their highly anticipated debuts, and a magic morning in South Africa provided insane conditions for more Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill action. The first men’s Round of 16 contenders emerged with Ryan Kainalo and 2022 World Junior Champion Jarvis Earle taking pivotal wins before the winds prevailed, but it was all about the women’s Round of 32 in pristine morning conditions that reset the standard. Ariane Ochoa flew the Basque Country flag high with a 9.00 as she continues her disruptive surge alongside Southern California’s Eden Walla, both helping eliminate current CTers as Walla eliminated the defending Ballito Pro champ, Nadia Erostarbe. The upper echelon fought back in the form of CT qualification threats Laura Raupp and Ellie Harrison, who put on a forehand clinic in the pumping swell. With major CT names already out of competition, the next wave of Challenger Series contenders is set to make their move and get an early jump on the world’s elite.
