Morgane Herculano is a professional high diver, Harvard graduate, and one of the most fascinating athletes you’ve never heard of. Born and raised in Switzerland, Morgane turned a love of flips at her local pool into a global career, diving from cliffs and platforms towering nearly 60 feet above the water. Now based between Boston and Montreal, she joins The Lineup fresh off a season that took her from Japan to Iceland to Italy, competing across the world in conditions that test not just athletic precision but nerve, adaptability, and trust in yourself. Morgane opens up about the mental side of diving with the fear never really goes away, what it means to balance intellect and adrenaline, and how social media has created new ways for niche athletes to make a living. She reflects on her journey from traditional diving to the extreme world of high diving, the challenges of growing up as the oldest of five in Switzerland, and earning her spot at Harvard without an athletic scholarship. She discusses how the NCAA NIL law changed the game for college athletes' opportunity to earn income, the unique camaraderie within the cliff diving community, and the accomplishment of a top-five World Cup finish in 2025. Men’s season-defining performances decide Finals Day at Surf Abu Dhabi I Post Show Day 2

It was the men’s turn at Surf Abu Dhabi’s desert hideaway, and they turned in world-class performances with major shakeups to the Final 8 showdown. An absolute showcase of rail-to-rail surfing, time on the nose, and finding the curtain from Edouard Delpero set the tone with an 18.43 heat total. Delpero sent reigning World Longboard Champion Taylor Jensen to Round 2, where he kept his excellent form intact to post an 8.60. Plus, brilliance from Kevin Skvarna and Declan Wyton secured their Quarterfinal spots with 9-point rides of their own alongside Steven Sawyer, Oliver Packham, and Chase Lieder as Skvarna already locked his spot in El Salvador. Round 2 witnessed marquee eliminations to the World Longboard Title showdown following Opening Round performances that fell short of a second chance. Jensen and Tony Silvagni rose to the occasion and remained in the hunt for a place in WSL Longboard Tour history. Now, Finals Day awaits to crown the 2025 king and queen of Surf Abu Dhabi.
