Day 2 of the Ballito Pro got going in crisp offshore conditions. Ex Cter, Liam O'Brien who lost his Championship Tour spot after breaking his leg at Pipeline, continues his comeback dropping the highest heat total of the day with a 14.50. The women's round of 64 kicked off, with South African's Sarah Baum and Zoë Steyn making the most of what Willard Beach had to offer. The Challenger Series moves to South Africa for its third battle of the season. In this long-running event at one of the country’s premier breaks, up-and-coming surfers like Caity Simmers, Rio Waida, Sheldon Simkus, and Teresa Bonvalot fight to get one step closer to their dream of qualifying for the Championship Tour.
