2025 Challenger Series’ first 10, men’s superheats push the standard I Corona Cero Post Show Day 4

All-star power reset the tone at the Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill delving back into men’s action and it was nothing short of fireworks. The Challenger Series witnessed its first 10-point ride of the season after Lucas Cassity threw himself into the flats when it mattered most. Cassity leap-frogged Samuel Pupo and Mateus Herdy, eliminating Pupo in the process. Superheats were in abundance. Former CTers Jacob Willcox, Kade Matson, Maxime Huscenot, and Callum Robson battled for the top two spots, with Matson earning the win and Willcox securing his place in the Round of 16. Plenty of swel is on tap in Ballito with both men and women ready to battle for their place in the Quarterfinals. The Top 5 featured South Africa’s own Luke Thompson holding down home waters. Shion Crawford turned up the dial in his performance for another big heat win before Jorgann Couzinet unleashed his power. Australia’s Oscar Berry looked sharp in a brilliant showing to shut down some of the Challenger Series rising talents. But it was all about Lucas Cassity’s 10-point ride as the top spot of the day, and the event so far.
