The world's top contenders kicked off the Ballito Pro presented by O'Neill in pristine conditions on opening day. Impressive showcases from the likes of George Pittar and Josh Burke, plus Krystian Kymerson's last-minute heroics sent him surging into the Round of 64. Women's debuts were headlined by perennial CT qualification threat Philippa Anderson and rising star Bella Kenworthy in dominant form to lock in Round of 32 appearances where they are set to meet former CTers in the days ahead. The Challenger Series moves to South Africa for its third event of the season. At one of the country’s premier breaks, Ballito is a battle between young surfers fighting for the dream of making the Championship Tour and former CT competitors driven to requalify.
