Rubber met the road in Ballito with high-performance clashes from some of the world's top contenders and now Finals Day draws hang in the balance. Tahiti's well-known charger Vahine Fierro showcased her clutch form in buzzer-beater fashion, plus former CT competitors Isabella Nichols and Bronte Macaulay shined for Semifinal appearances. The men got down to business with their Quarterfinal bouts and Kade Matson upped the ante in an event-highlight heat over current Challenger Series No. 1, plus Cole Houshmand and CT re-qualification hopeful Frederico Morais held firm in brilliant showings. The big finale awaits and a chance to catapult that much closer to CT qualification. The Challenger Series moves to South Africa for its third event of the season. At one of the country’s premier breaks, Ballito is a battle between young surfers fighting for the dream of making the Championship Tour and former CT competitors driven to requalify.
