The women’s Challenger Series elite took over Pipeline for opening day of the Lexus Pipe Challenger Presented by Billabong with a mixed bag of heavy-hitters rising and falling. Those who found themselves in the right place at the right time were gifted Backdoor gems to find curtain calls and powerful hammers. Reigning World Champ Molly Picklum stole the show with an excellent debut alongside fellow Aussie Sierra Kerr showcasing her powerful form. But, wildcards Zoe McDougall, Moana Jones Wong, and fellow Hawaiians began dismantling CT qualification hopefuls right away.
