Huppatz, Henry win WSL World Junior Championships, join elite champions list I Post Show Finals Day

The pinnacle of WSL Pro Junior competition crowned Isla Huppatz and Dane Henry as the 2025 WSL World Junior Championships Philippines Presented by Magnolia and Pure Foods champions with an Australian sweep. A remarkable run for event standout, Huppatz, concluded with a maiden WSL World Junior Championships title after besting 2023 World Junior Champ Sierra Kerr in the dwindling moments, and under priority. Huppatz adds her name to the running list of former World Junior Champs from Australia, including Isabella Nichols, Sally Fitzgibbons, Joel Parkinson, and more. Then, Henry blitzed through Finals Day, starting with a buzzer-beater over fellow Australian Lennix Smith, before taking down an in-form Nadav Attar to claim the Aussie sweep in the Philippines. Both Huppatz and Henry earn a direct route to the 2026 Challenger Series to represent Australia in the hunt for 2027 Championship Tour qualification. The WSL World Junior Champions will be crowned for the second year in a row in the Philippines at La Union. It will be only the fourth time the WSL has gone to this part of the Philippines and the 6th time in 26 years that a World Junior Champion will be crowned in Asia. Having hosted several regional QS events over the last 20 years, this will be the biggest international surfing event ever held in the Philippines.
